📍: Gávea Tourist Hotel, Rio de Janeiro

Sometimes, the most remarkable locations are hiding in plain sight, waiting to be rediscovered. Today, we're taking you behind the scenes at one such location - the Gávea Tourist Hotel, Rio de Janeiro.

Located in São Conrado, this once-luxurious construction started in 1953, was designed to be a sanctuary for the elite. However, the construction halted in 1972 and since then, it has been a monument of dreams unfulfilled, standing tall amidst the lush greens of Rio.

The views are extraordinary, offering breathtaking sights of Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita. And though it may seem abandoned, we at Camelô always ensure to make all necessary contacts with the rightful representatives to provide a structured and safe exploration for our clients.

This location has even served as a backdrop for French rapper Zola's music video, its graffiti-laden walls and unrefined structure adding a raw aesthetic to the production. Amidst the urban jungle, the iconic structure has become a symbol of resilient beauty.

Safety, responsibility, and creativity - that's the Camelô way! From the coziest linens to the most picturesque locations, we make sure every detail counts.
