Based in Rio de Janeiro, but working worldwide, Igor Olszowski is a journalist, documentary and fixer for major broadcasts. A native of Petropolis, the imperial city, he made his journalism studies in Rio de Janeiro. After several years in Europe during which he studied cinema in the Universities of Lisbon and Paris 8, he deepened his knowledge of the literature world by developing an anthropological look. His passion for food lead him to open a restaurant in Boipeba, a small island in the Bay of Salvador da Bahia, but his interest in the world brought him back to Rio, where he worked for foreign TV channels such as Discovery Channel, HBO, NatGeo, PBS, France Télévisions, BeIn Sports, ARTE, TF1, M6, NRJ12, Prosieben, SRF, Univision and BBC World Service. He has worked on flagship programs such as Naked and Afraid, When Sharks Attack, Echappées Belles, Thalassa and Les Routes Mythiques. And reality shows as Les Anges de La Téléréalité - Latin America and Jobtausch. He is also the author of several articles published in the Brazilian press, including Playboy, Vogue, Elle, Viagem e Turismo, Folha de Sao Paulo.
